Mandira Margam is a self-help group of women from less privileged background residing in the slums of Gurugram in Haryana India. These women are being supported by a reputed NGO Vidya school for skilling via vocational courses to help them earn from their skills and contribute in shape up a better future for their kids
In 1992, Mahashakti Seva Kendra, a dedicated all-women organization, was officially registered, with a focus on uplifting women economically and socially in Bhopal. This secular organization operates near the gas-affected areas, having its own worksheds, fostering trades such as block printing, kalamkari, tailoring, embroidery, and zardozi. Mahashakti Seva Kendra empowers 500 women in these worksheds, offering an opportunity to revive the rich Indian tradition of textile art.
